Episode 10: Justin Springer
Justin Springer joins Chad Van Handel in the Utalk studio to discuss his real estate journey. Justin’s first rental real estate transaction was a house hack in 2007 and he has since expanded to over 60 units that he and his fiancé self-manage. He has a wide range of real estate skills that he has acquired over the years, which helps him quickly evaluate new opportunities. Justin has also served on the Board of Directors for NeighborWorks Green Bay since 2019 and is actively involved in giving back to the community.

Mike Higgins joins Chad Van Handel in the Utalk studio to discuss his real estate journey. Mike got his start in real estate in 2015 as a realtor and didn’t waste any time making an impact in the industry. He later found success as a real estate investor by attending sheriff sales and by not being afraid to take calculated risks. Mike recently rebranded his real estate investing entity as Blue Badger Home Buyers where he helps sellers with customized home solutions.

Dan Ahlborn joins Chad Van Handel in the Utalk studio to discuss his real estate journey. Dan got his start in 2010 and he has primarily focused on wholesaling opportunities. He has successfully flipped a handful of properties over the years and owns a few long-term rentals. Dan is also a real estate coach via the Appleton REIA and is well versed on all things real estate.
Joe Gracyalny joins Chad Van Handel in the Utalk studio to discuss his real estate journey. Joe transitioned from a career as a middle school teacher into life as a real estate investor in 2018 when he joined up with his brother Kevin in Northeastern WI. He has since worked to carve out a specialty niche in duplexes; however, he is well versed in all kinds of investment property types.
Carter Crowley joins Chad Van Handel in the Utalk studio to discuss his real estate journey. Carter took on his first flip in 2015 and since then he has grown his skill set to include wholesaling, long-term rentals, and additional flips. He is also a realtor. He and his team are utilizing pay-per-click ads and leveraging other technology (such as CRM) to continue to fill their pipeline of new real estate deals.
Craig Herrell joins Chad Van Handel in the Utalk studio to discuss his real estate journey. Craig bought his first rental property in 2015 and has since grown his portfolio into the double digits. He has developed an efficient system for renovating his new purchases and isn’t afraid to take on tough rehab projects. Craig is the founder of Happy Home Contracting, Happy Home Investing, and Happy Home Rentals.
Jason Lund joins Chad Van Handel in the Utalk studio to discuss his real estate journey. Jason leveraged a talent for flipping cars and motorcycles into a thriving real estate empire that consists of flips, wholesaling, and long-term rentals. He is the founder of 920 Home Buyers and WiscoREIA and is a wealth of knowledge for all things real estate related.
Amanda Furman joins Chad Van Handel in the Utalk studio to discuss transitioning from a career as an educator to a career in real estate. After a couple years as a realtor, Amanda & her husband purchased their first flip and have since expanded into other real estate investments. Amanda also provides a good snapshot of the current state of the real estate market.
Brian Davis joins Chad Van Handel in the Utalk studio to discuss his real estate journey. After going on a buying spree during the Great Recession, Brian took a step back to focus on generating solid long-term cash flow across his 11 units. He has also recently pivoted to owning and managing AirBnB rentals. In addition to real estate, Brian is involved in various other entrepreneurial ventures.
In this episode, Logan Rankin joins Chad Van Handel in the U Talk studio to discuss his real estate journey. After buying his first property in 2013, Logan took strategic and calculated risks on his way to amassing a diversified portfolio of over 1000 units throughout Wisconsin. He currently operates three real estate-related businesses and is passionate about financial education on all levels.
